2023 here we come

Big changes in my game heading into the 2023 season and looking to build upon and exceed the fall season. Early in January I met up with Mizuno Rep Kim Henderson and the Director of fitting, Mike Snyder at the Pro-Formance Academy at the Golf Club of Indiana. What a fitting facility! These guys spent a couple of hours really dialing in my equipment. To say I was impressed was an absolute understatement. These guys went above and beyond to really make sure these sticks were fine tuned for my golf swing from driver to putter. What I ended up doing (With the help of finances from my dad) was walking out with a fully customized set of Mizuno irons that were significantly changed from what I have been playing. The use of the Flight Scope really helped to dial in my numbers. Even though the changes were quite different from what I was playing, man did they feel good. What we left with was clubs that didn’t promote a booming high shot which is something I have always played with. This caused a great deal of inconsistency in windy conditions and the angle of decent was very steep. (My Driver’s angle of decent was that of a 7 iron) Also they bulked up my iron shafts from 95g up to 125g which gave a different feel but such a sweet trajectory. Looking forward to what these can help me achieve in the spring season ahead! The following week I also had a chance to spend some time with my swing coach Anthony Bradley of French Lick Resort. Anthony has always been someone I have connected well with and his knowledge of the golf swing is second to none! I appreciate all Anthony and Kim has done for me and look forward to the season ahead!
