Well, it was not the finish I had hoped for as I had an injury Withdraw due to dislocated rib(s) the day before our conference. I gave it my best but wasn’t able to put a swing together that wasn’t impacting my mobility. As the rounds progressed, my overall mobility decreased, and pain took over. After having a conversation with my coach, the difficult decision to WD took place which I didn’t take lightly and was as painful as playing in my eyes. I was glad my coach supported me and enabled me to stay around to encourage my teammates in conference where we finished 3rd overall. The coach had me be an assistant coach for the final match of the year. While it was hard sitting on the sidelines, it was good to be there for my teammates. It is definitely a different perspective from that point of view.
Looking ahead to the summer, I plan on playing multiple amateur events including the US Amateur. More golf and better days ahead!
